MOVING DIRT

Ever hear the saying that the job of a mom is just moving dirt?  We move dirt when we clean the floor, we move dirt when we bathe our children, we move dirt when we vaccume, ect.... ect... ect..... From one place to another the dirt gets moved around.  Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand then the children run through the house with their shoes on, dirty oreo covered fingers and faces and the dogs following behind and we start allll over. Yep that sum's it up sometimes.  

As moms we are also usually trying to clean up invisible dirt as well.  Dirt in our hearts and in the hearts of our children......  Anger, Jealousy, Stress, Worry, Doubts, Fears, Insecurities.  

It really is a hopeless job, this moving dirt that we do.   It is an impossible job, but we still try.  God made us in his image and he is the One true Mr. Clean  he doesn't just move the dirt in our hearts, he knows how to clean it out completely.  We need to seek him and his strength as we take on the never ending, always meaningful task of mothering.
